Dansyn Cavaliers

We often receive inquiries from individuals asking about Cavalier rescue. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel clubs are fortunate to have national organizations dedicated to re-homing dogs in need. Dogs come into rescue for many reasons. These Cavaliers are found and rescued from shelters, puppy mills, or purchased at auctions.  Many of these Cavaliers come from years of neglect and may lack socialization and have behavior problems. Some Cavaliers who come into rescue are owner release due to a dealth in the family, loss of a home, a result of a divorce or transfer situation, a move to an apartment or nursing home where dogs are not allowed. Dogs in rescue are almost never puppies. Most are adults between the ages of three and eight.  A rescue dog is not for someone simply looking for a "cheap dog" as many of these dogs may have health problems with ongoing medical expenses. A rescue dog is not for everyone but if you have ever considered opening your heart and home to one of these Cavaliers in need please contact the rescue clubs below.
